Strite's Orchard

Autumn is here, bring on the pumpkin patches, cornfields, and fall festivals!

This is my absolute favorite time of year, the air is crisp, the leaves are falling, and there are so many fun things to do, especially with kids.

We kicked off the fall fun by going to Strite's Orchard the other day with Kristen and baby Wyatt.  Although I was initially a little disappointed, we actually ended up having a great time.  I had never been to Strite's before, they have an awesome shop full of fantastic produce and baked goods but their activities for kids are pretty limited.  And nothing is in one central location, so you have to pack the kids up multiple times to drive between things.  Less than convenient with a 1 and 2 year old.  Not as nice as Ashcombe's or Paulus Farm.

But once we finally got to the corn maze and pumpkin patch it was a good time.  We were the only ones on the entire grounds so that was pretty awesome.  Despite the fact that we almost got lost in the corn maze.  Kristen and I are both "navigationally challenged" so I have no clue why we thought it was a great idea to haul children into a maze with no one around to help direct us.

We played amidst the corn, in the pumpkin patch, on and in these old wooden milk crates that were laying around, and all over the big field in between.  And somehow Zoey managed to find the ONE mud puddle in the whole field and gleefully jump up and down in it exclaiming "I get dirty, hoorayyyy!!".   A good time was had by all.
