Let's see if I can put together a summer recap, here it goes:
Work:
I transferred to Pediatric Oncology as a Clinical Head Nurse, which had a lot to do with how fast time went. I miss the work, pace, and patients of the Emergency Department greatly but it was time for me to start growing some different roots and try on a new role. This is a good fit. But there's LOTS to learn - new people, new responsibilities, new patient population. So my growth curve is huge right now.
All Balboa Weekend:
Marty and I took the kids to Cleveland for one of their first dance weekends. The last time Zoey attended she was only 6 months old and Finn has never been. The kids loved hearing the band play, watching everyone dance, and staying up late.
Gettysburg:
Pop Pop and I took the kids for our annual trip to Gettysburg to climb Little Round Top, play in Devil's Den, and learn a little bit of history:
Crossfit:
Marty did his very first Crossfit competition and we both kept busy with increasing our workouts this summer.
Hershey Park:
No summer is complete without the Sweetest Place on Earth! The kids took multiple trips to Hershey Park to hit the water park, go on rides they are newly tall enough to go on, get their faces painted, watch the Sea Lion show, and eat all manner of junk food.
Haircut:
Finn discovered Scissor Independence and cut his own hair:
We played in the rain:
Went to the E-Town Fair:
Visited Dawn for her birthday 💛💛💛 :
Lake Tobias:
And wrapped up the summer with celebrating Finn's birthday with a 3-day weekend celebration culminating in a trip to Lake Tobias. The kids loved going on the safari ride and feeding the animals (even though Zoey and Finn ate half of the "animal crackers").
