Happy Mother's Day

I had a fantastic Mother's Day, which started off the best way imaginable - with lots of sleep.  For the first time ever, Finn only woke up ONE time Saturday night.  He ate at 4am and otherwise slept from 7pm - 7am.  I woke up feeling so bizarrely rested, it was amazing.  I really hope this is the start of better nights for everyone.  After 8 months of being up all night long, I'm so ready to sleep.

Marty gave me stargazer lilies to plant in the back yard.  They are my absolute favorite flower, my wedding bouquet was filled with them.  And we don't have any growing in our yard yet so I'm excited to plant them.

Then Marty's parents came over and we all went out to breakfast at the Peach Tree.

We came home and played with the kids until we went out to brunch with Meme, my Dad, Uncle Sam, Aunt Kathy, Allison, Brian & Logan.  Zoey was cracking me up, she is such a barefoot hillbilly tomboy.  She kept fidgeting with her dress and it was about 5 minutes until she boycotted her dress shoes.  She doesn't really like to wear shoes at all, but especially not dress shoes.  She definitely takes after me.

Finn was true to form and ate everything in sight.  This kid is serious about eating.  He ate his tub of baby food and a giant pile of puffs, then moved on to real food and blazed through some steamed carrots and grapes.  Then Marty introduced him to roast beef and he went NUTS for it.  He housed the entire pile of roast beef then flopped over in Marty's arms and proceeded to almost pass out.  He definitely takes after Marty.

Zoey and her cousin Logan had a lot of fun with each other.  It was funny to see them giggling non-stop.  No surprise a jumping party ensued after we stuffed them (and Marty) full of sugar at the dessert table:
