Christmas Wishes

This week Zoey informed me that she only wants one thing from Santa:  a skateboard.  Specifically a pink skateboard.  With purple accents.  And yellow lightening bolts.  Because "if I'm on the Nice List, then Magical Santa can do anything, even bring me a pink and purple skateboard with yellow lightening bolts, right Momma?".  I don't suppose she could have simply wished for the skateboard that's presently on sale on a shelf at Target right now?  So I'm in the works of figuring out how to custom design a skateboard in the next 24 days, and she's in the process of trying to tell every mall Santa, event Santa, and streetcorner Santa that she wants a pink and purple skateboard with yellow lightening bolts.

Yesterday she asked to go to Hershey to tell Chocolate World Santa her wish.  So I scooped up both kids and we headed out for a morning of chocolately Christmas cheer.  Note to self:  the weekend after Thanksgiving on a nice day is probably the craziest busiest time to go near Hershey Park.  I totally should have told her that Santa was resting for the weekend and we had to go back on Monday, that place was a zoo.  But we had fun and I didn't lose any children in the mayhem, so that's a win.

I was a little worried how the visit with Santa would go for Finn.  He has a track record of screaming in horror and fleeing when confronted with large holiday characters.

However this year Finn has apparently decided that Santa is not in fact a threat and we have our first "normal" holiday picture.  And I do love that even dressed up, he's still rocking his Batman socks.
