On Saturday we did some much-needed yard work and colored Easter eggs. Before we colored eggs I was thinking "wow Zoey is going to be so much better at it this year now that she's a little older". However I did not factor in the fact that she's also gained another years experience at being rambunctious and crazy. So coloring Easter eggs mostly consisted of her volleying the eggs into the coloring dishes at warp speed, washing her hands with the colored water, and fingerpainting the newspaper. Still, a good time was had by all so I view it as a success.
Easter Sunday was mostly spent at our house. Zoey hunted the plastic eggs we hid, mostly because we put treats of chocolately goodness inside. But don't worry - Marty and I did our jobs as parents and tried to eat as much of her Easter candy as we could to spare her fragile toddler teeth from any future cavities. It's the least we could do.
