Exhibit A: Running Around Like Crazy. I have no idea what she was even saying "Noooooooo" about, but I'm pretty sure that she didn't either. Toddler logic frequently doesn't extend that far and hilarity often ensues.
Exhibit B: Just Crazy. Most people probably don't publish the silly crying-over-nonsense videos, but that's a real part of daily life with a toddler. And that's the funny thing about the aforementioned toddler logic, it tends to go one of two ways: ridiculous amusement or tragic meltdown. This would be the latter. One minute they're all smiles and dancing in circles, the next minute it's like they found out that Pinocchio just got turned into kindling. This particular meltdown was over her wanting to watch "the bear movie" which we nixed in favor of getting out of the house and doing something fun. She's totally fake-crying and knows we aren't phased by her shenanigans, these episodes are short-lived. Some redirection and not paying much attention to the nonsense pretty much does the trick. Um, as does occasionally mocking her fake crying with our own overly-dramatic fake crying. Are we fired as parents? Ha! As a side note, you get to see Finn pick things up off the floor (ok probably not remotely exciting to anyone else other than parents and grandparents but hey it's a new skill he learned. Now we get to start playing the "what's he eating off the kitchen floor" game - woohoo!). He also randomly beats on Cheeto for no reason.
After Zoey's meltdown ended 96 seconds later and she was back to giggling and dancing in circles, we headed to the mall to meet up with Kristen, Glen, and their new baby, Wyatt.
Strolling, eating Auntie Anne's pretzel sticks:
This is the face I got when I asked her to smile for the camera:
Ice cream truck!! Yes, we are those parents that shove ourselves into wee mini rides because it's fun:
